In Sandvik, your job should always be as interesting, inspiring and challenging as possible – no matter what position you hold or where you work. Empty words? Absolutely not! Welcome to a journey of demands and rewards.

To the Group Control function, including Group BusinessControl, Group Reporting and Consolidation, Systems and process development and M&A and Investments, we are now looking for a strong and inspirational leader to continue the journey.

As Vice President and Head of Group Control, you report directly to Executive Vice President & CFO. You lead your own management team within Group Control with five direct reports and are also an active member of the CFO Group Finance management team. Furthermore, you are a member of the global Finance Management team consisting of the CFO, key financial managers in Group Finance and the CFOs from Sandvik’s different business areas.

The location for this position is at the World Trade Center (WTC) in Stockholm and requires some domestic and overseas travel.

Your challenge

In this position, you are responsible for our accounting principles, Group reporting and consolidation, business control and management accounting. This means you’re overseeing and supervising the financial performance in the Group starting with the monthly subsidiary reporting, followed by analysis, output reports, performance management and reports and analysis used by the CFO at Group Executive Team meetings, Board meetings, Audit Committee meetings and also all performance management reports used by the business areas, product areas and the business units in the Group. In a simple way, you can describe it as transforming input data into information into analysis to become business decision support to drive actions in all corners of the Sandvik Group.

You are also responsible for compliance with Sandvik’s M&A-, investment and lease- and restructuring policies.

With the above responsibilities, you have direct contact and discussions with the external auditors and with financial managers and business controllers in the Group all over the world.

Apart from the monthly closing procedures a lot is happening in your area over the next few years, such as shorter closing cycles, simplified and improved forecast procedures and the future architecture of the reporting and consolidation system.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with a relevant degree in the financial area and at least five years’ experience from a leading position, where you have proved your talent for people management. You are technically skilled in your area, but more importantly, you are well prepared for driving continuous improvements and good financial analysis in a constantly developing environment. As we operate in a truly global setting, your communication skills in English need to be exceptional, both verbally and in writing.

At Sandvik, we are proud to promote a workplace free from discrimination. We strongly believe that diversity of experience, perspective and background will lead to a better environment for our employees, our business and, thereby, our customers.
