At the Supply Chain function within Product Area (PA) Rock Tools, we are accountable for all services connected to the supply chain processes. Our common goal is to identify, develop and practically implement the best possible solutions for the PA and our customers, and work in line with current business needs to find cost-effectiveness, improved quality and integrating synergies.

We are now looking for a Head of Supply Chain Development to join us in Sandviken – an exciting opportunity to work with global contacts, building an extensive network, and, together with the team, take on the challenge of bringing our function into the future. International travel is a natural part of this job.

Job Summary

As Head of Supply Chain Development, you are responsible for inventory planning and order-to-delivery processes and tools, serving the global Rock Tools business in an integrated supply chain setting. You also work together with your colleagues and main stakeholders to establish priorities and create and maintain a global supply chain development road map. Additionally, you efficiently and compassionately manage the execution of short-term, long-term, large and small improvements with the help of your team, which consists of project managers and process owners. Furthermore, you are responsible for establishing improvement requirements for internal IT and third-party software vendors, and you follow up on quality of implementation and robustness. You also successfully interact and collaborate with other business functions, from sales to production.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with a MSc degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics, with at least five years’ experience working in a leading position in one of these fields, preferably from manufacturing of industrial products. Experience from working in a big, global company with matters related to inventory control, forecasting and supply chain management, as well as leadership and project management experience, is also required. You are comfortable with IT systems necessary in steering a globally integrated supply chain, understand the importance of data quality and transparency for the operations and are familiar with such management tools as Qlickview, Power BI and various data warehouses. As we operate in an international setting, you need to be fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.

You act with integrity and have both the interest and the ability to lead and motivate people in a virtual and global matrix organization. Furthermore, you easily build trust, are an excellent team member and networker with good understanding of stakeholder needs, and have the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and outside partners at all levels. As we depend on strong networks of global contacts, you ensure that relevant data and information is passed on to necessary stakeholders, and you are determined, yet pedagogical, in your approach.
