Edwards Lifesciences Business Unit Manager Critical Care Nordics in Sweden
The Business Unit Manager is responsible for overseeing the given business, controlling and managing sales and marketing activities of his/her commercial division; including deployment of marketing strategies, achieving sales objectives through prioritizing sales activities, pricing negotiation, controlling marketing expenses and managing the sales team. The Business Unit Manager will also represent the company in the field through strong relationship with the KOL.
Major Job Functions:
Manages effectively his/her sales team in their activities and projects, establishing targets, incentive plans & action plans.
Implements sales and marketing global plans and division initiatives, adapting general guidelines to local conditions.
Select, develop, motivate and manage the performance and the talent of his/her direct team; identifying potential back-up
Responsible for the Division P&L Planning and achievement according to assigned budged and objectives (sales gross profit & expenses target). Responsible for establishing and submitting budget and forecasts for this division
Actively participates in the design of projects and objectives for the Division ensuring the implementation at country level
Maintains and initiates productive relationships with KOL, Medical Societies and healthcare authorities and represents Edwards in professional associations when necessary.
Member of the Country management team, assures an easy communication between the Division and other Departments of the Company.
Member of the extended leadership team for the business, share best practices and initiatives among the rest of the organization.
Responsible for pricing strategy following corporate guidelines.
Negotiate special offers with key customers and support sales reps in price negotiations or complex customer issues if necessary
Coordinates and consolidates the collection of market data to analyze country market (customer needs, trends & competitors) in order to better identify business opportunities with existing or potential customers
Negotiate transfer prices and sales targets to each of the distributors in the territory, review distribution contracts as necessary
Required Education, Experience & Skills:
Educated to a degree standard
At least 5 years of sales & management experience in the medical device field is required
Demonstrable knowledge of the Critical Care Market and KOL’s preferred
Strong skills in the following areas: business acumen, leadership, negotiation, presentation, management, planning and organization and finance management.
Fluent in English. One of the Scandinavian languages or Finnish is plus.
Preferably Based with easy access to the Malmo Office with the ability and willingness to travel within the Nordic region more than 50% of the time
Experience in sales & marketing in medical device industry including commercial management experience (People & P&L responsibilities)
