About The Opportunity

The department consists of CMM / GOM (optical measuring system). We support mainly Trollhättan with CMM preparations. Our mission also includes to streamline the preparation process for CMM / GOM.

Our tasks comes from production valuestreams and development projects.

Key Responsibilities

As Method Engineer CMM/GOM, you work in a team where you are primarily responsible for creating or modifying programs to our measuring machines. The work also includes solving problems in current production, mostly issues regarding production technology, metrology, measurement technology, or drawing interpretation. To be at the forefront it is important to also monitor the market for new opportunities and to develop and produce new methods of metrology.

Together with the other Method Engineers CMM/GOM , CMM Operators and Manufacturing/Design Engineers, you will have a great impact on GKN and our future competitiveness.

Qualifications / Experience / Skills

  • You have a technical education.

  • Very good experience and knowledge in metrology, drawing interpretation, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.

  • At least one year of experience from inspection or several years of experience from other engineering work is meritorious, practical and theoretical training will be offered.

• Experience from CAD - knowledge of NX is an advantage.

• Experience of CMM programming is an advantage, experience with software Calypso is especially meritorious.

• Fluent in English, both in speech and writing,
