The Hangouts Meet team ships a real-time video conferencing solution that empowers people to communicate and collaborate efficiently.

In this role on the Hangouts Engineering Productivity team, you will work closely with backend, frontend and mobile developers, tackling the difficult problems of real-time communication.

Responsibilities
  • Automate testing across backends, frontend, mobile, and meeting room hardware.
  • Develop new tools to aid developer productivity.
  • Inspire developers to write better software.
Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in development and/or test automation.
  • Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages (e.g Java, Javascript etc).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in refactoring, test automation, emergent design, testable and modular code.
  • Experience in audio processing/Echo cancellation/ or Video streaming.
  • Ability to build infrastructure and test-driven development.
