We are looking for a Site Controller in ALSTOM Sweden

To the company in Sweden we are now recruiting a Site Controller. The Site Controller is responsible for the financial reporting of the Swedish ALSTOM sites and depots and is a key player of the Swedish Management Team with direct report to the Nordic Finance Director and dotted line to the Sweden Managing Director.

As the Site Controller you will:

  • Bring to the Site and Country Management a regular true and fair view of Sites activity (monthly/yearly closing, budgets and forecasts, project execution), ensuring compliance with local accounting & tax regulations (statutory), Group accounting standards and Internal Control rules & principles.

  • Support the Site Managing Director, Head of departments and Tender & Project Management for financial matters and performance monitoring of the site.

  • Support, implement and monitor the Product Lines objectives as well as the Country objectives in the sites.

  • Deploy all financial means and all Sector tools & methodologies to ensure that the upstream part of the Product cycle (Product Development, Tendering, Reference Libraries Controlling etc.), as well as industrial/business efficiency and performance targets are properly followed at site level.

  • Manage the financial population of the site without any exception.

  • Promote and contribute to identify any cost effective action

  • Ensure the respect and application of ALSTOM rules and promote any productivity actions within the site (the locations and projects) in order to maximize the profitability through a good and cost effective execution of the contracts and of the site operations (quality, cost efficiency and planning delivery), to protect the value of the shareholder’s assets and maximize the cash flow of the site.

Responsibilities

  • Provide financial information to site management team, areas and operations

  • Be the financial partner to the Swedish Managing Director and the local management team advising, supporting, alerting and challenging the Unit around critical issues which might impact the Units performance

  • Ensure that the management of the company’s assets & liabilities are monitored and controlled effectively (including suppliers, payroll, bank accounts etc.)

  • Ensure that the function is resourced adequately, in terms of numbers and skills, to manage performance and development of subordinates, and to provide effective mentoring and coaching to direct reports in order to achieve function objectives

  • Organize and coordinate at Unit level the financial cycle and produce results, forecasts, budgets and 3 year plan

  • Provide necessary inputs during the tender process

  • Prepare CAPEX authorization files

Your profile

  • University degree/diploma

  • Business School (MBA or equivalent)

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience as Chief Accountant or Finance Manager for a multinational company

  • Fluency in English

  • Knowledge of accounting procedures in large manufacturing and engineering organizations

  • Knowledge of Project Accounting

  • If you have an auditing background it would be an advantage

  • Proven leadership experience
