As a Major Account Executive, you will be responsible for:
Executing an Install Base Sales Plan, farming (up sell, cross-sell) in an existing accountbase.
Working with theassigned Technical Consultant to properly articulate, define and scope salesopportunities in the existing customer base.
To provide hand-off for the professional services
To contribute tothe public face of Akamai attending industry functions, and generally promotingAkamai value
Overseeing thecustomer proposal process and ensuring that all address customer requirements.
LeverageAkamai’s best-in-breed solutions worldwide by actively building relationshipswith counterparts worldwide, and deploying Akamai’s best-in-breed solutions
Supporting andeducating Sales, Marketing and other internal departments to ensure thatcustomers get appropriate updates, upgrades and event-oriented solution.
RequiredEducation and Experience
High ethics,integrity, and personal drive.
Demonstrable experience of Account Management, preferably within the Media/Gaming/Streaming sectors
Strong knowledgeof Internet and telecommunications concepts and demonstrate the ability todiscuss them with intelligence and conviction.
Formal salestraining and understanding of: Solution-Selling and/or Value Selling trainingor other metrologies.
Ideal candidateswill bring with them a range of Internet industry-related contacts.
Strong backgroundin Internet infrastructure and/or enterprise solution software required.
