Ericsson Developer - Virtual Load Balancer and Connectivity in Stockholm, Sweden

Job Summary:

We are now looking for a Developer with relevant working experience in design activities to work in an Agile environment for the Virtual Load Balancer component (EVIP). The Virtual Load Balancer is one of the key components within the Component Based Architecture (CBA) at the PDU Component Development (CD). Briefly, EVIP provides traffic handling capabilities, smart load balancing and connectivity solutions at L3 and L4. EVIP interacts with other common components at a PDU CD level and make use of the latest Linux virtualization techniques. The product provides functionality to different stakeholders within Ericsson such as IP and Multimedia Services (IMS), User Data Management (UDM) and Packet Core (PC).

As a Developer you will have the responsibility to propose and implement new methods and solutions for the coming product transformation towards Cloud and Container-based architectures (ADP - Kubernetes) as well as maintaining the legacy functionality of the already existing product within the Component Based Architecture (CBA). This role requires strong analytical skills and a challenger mindset. You will work in a Cross-functional team whose members are geographically distributed between Stockholm and Budapest. This role does not require travelling on a regular basis. On an operational level, the candidate will report to the Team Product Owner. The candidate must be communicative towards her/his team as well as external stakeholders and open to suggest and implement operational changes in the product structure and ways of working.

Minimum Technical Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

  • Networking, IP Network Protocols and routing: IPv4, IPv6, OSPF, IP tables, IP Routes, IP Rules

Preferred Qualifications & Experience Requirements:

  • Openstack, VMWare, Ericsson Cloud Execution environments
  • Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment
  • Git / Gerrit
  • Test tools and scripting, e.g. Bash/Tcsh, Python, Java
  • Testing principles
