Volvo Group Manager Customer Adaptation Internal Workshop in Göteborg, Sweden

The position Manager Customer Adaptation Internal Workshop leads a production team consisting experienced mechanics with the main task to build/rebuild the truck according to specific adaptations and/or super structures requested by customers. The role is part of the Customer Adaptation Management team and reports directly to Director Customer Adaptation.

The Customer Adaptation is an important strategic area with the aim to support and increase truck sales. We work actively and cross functionally with our counterparts both within Sales & Marketing (TSS), R&D (GTT), Purchasing (GTP) and internally within Operations (GTO.)

Within the Customer Adaptation Management Team we share a cooperative, supportive & open atmosphere. Our Management Team drives the operation with care and focus on development of people and customers. Although we keep focus on our deliveries we never miss the opportunity knowing each other better and having good laughter together. We believe the time we spend together is part of our lifetime and not working hours. We share, we help and we trust each other.


  • To be active part of the Customer Adaptation strategy and management work

  • To create prerequisites for the team according to commitments towards our customer

  • To support the team’s competence development in order to meet both operational skills and future competence requirements

  • To manage capacity variation within the team

  • To drive operational excellence and constantly improve our way of working

  • To be a bridge for communication, assuring top-down and bottom-up distribution of relevant information

Qualification and competence needed for the position

  • Be proactive leader with the courage and integrity needed to drive and implement changes together with your team

  • To have a suitable education (preferably technical but not mandatory)

  • Fluent in English

  • Good Lean knowledge
