The Sourcing department manages and coordinates all sourcing activities, promotes overall purchasing performance and leads transformative change efforts within Business Unit Sourcing and Product Line. We are now looking for an organized Supplier Quality Engineer to be part of creating success in an exciting, key role, working closely with our customers. This position is located in Svedala, Sweden.
As Supplier Quality Engineer you have the overall responsibility for securing the right quality within the product area Crushing & Screening. You work closely with R&D, Product line Management, Category Sourcing, Production and Quality, and suppliers as well,in order to securethe right quality from the right supplier. You actively develop suppliers’performance and participate in new development projectswithin our global base. Your main responsibilities include running and improving supplier performance with regard to quality, delivery, technology and costingfor thesupplier base, as well as developing and implementing sourcing and supplier quality strategy for the product line, together with category sourcing functions. You energize a high-performance supplier base, with a combination of challenges, and provide support by setting high quality standards, delivering on time and offering supplier development.
This position involves international travel.
We are looking for someone with, preferably, a Bachelor's in Engineering, or other relevant technical field, and additional education and experience in quality-related areas, such as Lean or 6-sigma, are a plus. A strong technical background and a proven track record from internal Quality, supplier quality or a supplier development function in a global environment are prerequisites for this position. Good technical understanding of product development and manufacturing processes (for example, casting, forging or machining) is beneficial. Manufacturing and assembly process knowledge for hydraulics, electrical, rubber and technology, is also advantageous. As we operate in a global environment, your English skills must be excellent, both verbally and in writing.
