IDC Senior Research Analyst for IDC Nordic' Stockholm Office in Sweden

IDC Nordic is looking for Senior Analyst based in Stockholm for Nordic Research Team providing clients in the ICT-industry as well as consulting firms and end user organizations with market intelligence, advisory services, and events. More than 1,100 IDC analysts provide global, regional, and local expertise on technology and industry opportunities and trends in over 110 countries worldwide.

As a Senior Analyst at IDC Nordic's Stockholm Office you will be a part of a small research team based in Copenhagen and Stockholm dedicated to work with our clients in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. Being based in Stockholm the job will have special focus on the ICT-industry in Sweden and our existing client base in Sweden as well a new business in this the largest Nordic ICT-market. Deep knowledge of Swedish business life and the ICT-industry are requirements for the candidate as well as fluency in the Swedish language both spoken and written.

You will work closely with the Nordic Research Team on producing standard research like our Market Forecast Products and Vendor Shares. Also, you will be part of designing and analyzing surveys covering different ICT-market aspects in the Nordics both as a part of IDC's standard research and as customer research projects.

As a local analyst, you will spend a lot of time presenting and discussing findings and consequences of findings with clients. Therefore, the candidate needs the ability to communicate, simplify and synthetize complex messaging and ideas, identify trends and anticipate industry movements. Interactions with local industry and business press might also be required to comment on industry and market trends.

Being a part of IDC means the possibility of working with renown industry analysts both in the European region and globally. Customer research projects often require cooperation with IDC-colleagues in different countries both on technology data and market data.   • 10+ years of experiences in a similar analyst role, comparable ICT-company or ICT-organization, media or industry organization to ensure:

  • General knowledge about the ICT-industry in the Nordics.

  • Specific knowledge about the ICT-industry in Sweden as well as a good knowledge of Swedish business life in general.

  • Comprehensive understanding of current technology trends, their impact on business strategies and their implications for senior management in creating and sustaining competitive advantage and transforming business.

  • An extrovert professional who enjoys working alone as much as collaborate with colleagues and clients.

  • An agile and open professional mind to process all kinds of data and knowledge and extract the important findings.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Strong communications skills.

  • Service orientation and strong interpersonal skills enabling you to work on executive level.

  • Native language skills in Swedish.

  • Fluency in English both spoken and written.

  • Some travelling.
