Job Summary

The ICT Engineer plans and operates the IT solutions for the internal Ericsson users. The ICT Engineer secures a stable environment and optimizes the solutions/services to the agreed service levels in a cost efficient and timely manner.

The ICT Engineer interacts with internal stakeholders and external customers to provide solutions enhancing their competitive position. This role has an overall view on needed capacity and configuration of a IT environment and is involved in development of the needed solutions in the IT environment. Participates in investigations and studies both locally and globally within Ericsson. Well acquainted with ITIL and knowledge about the implications ITIL has on daily business.

Responsibilities & Tasks:
  • Create cost effective solutions through activities in network design, planning and deployment
  • Drives and implements cost effective solutions
  • Configure and integrate nodes and solutions into networks (new and existing)
  • Maintain a stable environment and optimizes the network as necessary
  • Contribute to implement continuous improvements in the organization
  • Technical support handling of internal and external customers
  • Develop solutions and tools based on technical requirements
  • Provides effective feedback and coaching
  • Manages meetings effectively
  • Is able to teach others effective team skills
  • Enjoys people; shows interest in team members

Technical Area specifics:

  • Understanding of IT requirements or IT service fulfilment, understanding of IT deliveries
  • Understanding of technologies as terminal servers, build environments, continuous integration tools, Linux, Unix, Windows, Storage technologies, Network topologies.
  • Contribute with extensive knowledge in the areas of transmission, switching/routing, MPLS and infrastructure nodes and tools, including O&M; tools and applications, for example in advanced troubleshooting. Extensive product knowledge in Juniper (Certification), Extreme and Cisco products (Certification).

  • University degree within Computer networks and data communication, alternatively at least 5 years of experience within the area, is required.
