Job Summary

The purpose of the role as a ICT Architect is to create principles, models and guidelines from strategies. Continuously convert requirements to a cost efficient solution architecture compliant to architectural principles, models and guidelines ensuring consistency between business, information and technology. The ICT Architect interacts with internal stakeholders and external customers to define and provide solutions enhancing their competitive position, furthermore, the ICT Architect acts as an internal consultant for the many IT areas.

Responsibilities & Tasks
  • Responsibility for ensuring that services and infrastructure are able to deliver the agreed capacity and performance, planning for short, medium and long term business requirements
  • Main tasks: To manage, control and predict the performance and capacity of operational services. This includes initiating proactive and reactive action to ensure that the performances and capacities of services meet their agreed targets.

  • This senior role takes the technical lead and drive within projects concerning development of the needed solutions in the IT environment and acts as technical consultant to management and as mentor to others.

  • Drives or participates in investigations and studies both locally and globally within Ericsson.
  • Well acquainted with ITIL and knowledge about the implications ITIL has on daily business.
  • Place requirements on centrally managed services.
  • The architect has an overall view on needed capacity and configuration of networks for a IT environment.

Technical Area specifics:

  • Understanding of IT requirements or IT service fulfilment, understanding of IT deliveries
  • Understanding of technologies as terminal servers, build environments, continuous integration tools, Linux, Unix, Windows, Storage technologies, Network topologies.
  • Contribute with extensive knowledge in the areas of transmission, switching/routing, MPLS and infrastructure nodes and tools, including O&M; tools and applications, for example in advanced troubleshooting. Extensive product knowledge in Juniper (Certification), Extreme and Cisco products (Certification).

Minimum Qualifications & Experience Requirements:

  • University degree within Computer networks and data communication, alternatively at least 5 years of experience within the area, is required.
