IDC Account Manager - IDC Nordic in Sweden

About the position

The position is an integrated Nordic Account Manager focused on the services and sourcing industry. The role is positioned within the IDC Nordic sales organization and will report directly to the IDC Nordic Sales Director. The role is focused on expanding current research and consult business as well as new business development with clients we currently don’t do business with.

The role requires a proven success with selling a wide portfolio of research and consulting services.

The main responsibilities include:

  • Increase market penetration through expansion of current research services, and identify new business opportunities

  • Solid foundation in account management fundamentals such as prospecting, needs assessment, proposal development, client presentation

  • Establishe strong and extensive contracts with leading regional ICT vendor

  • Work with existing customers to support marketing campaigns where IDC are providing content, to monitor the success and provide advice and guidance to extend the engagement.

  • Maintain and update value propositions, proposal templates and support case study development for the Nordic research and Go to Market portfolio

  • Proactively develop and qualify opportunities to drive new business opportunities

  • Meet the budgeted bookings quotas set

The ideal candidate would possess:

  • Proven track-record in solution-selling and proven consultative sales approach ideally in the services, media or consulting services markets.

  • This assignment will suit an ambitious, sales professional who is seeking a challenging career opportunity with an international culture.

  • Capability to frame integrated marketing solutions to senior level clients/prospects – including conversant with the “language” of senior marketing professionals

  • Skills in formulating compelling proposals, effective closing and ability to defend prices

  • Collaborative team player with capability to lead from the front, taking initiative

  • Good time management and project management skills

  • Proven skills in after sales and relationship managments

  • Creative in their approach to proposal writing and sales tools used i.e .ppt presentations

  • High proficiency in spoken and written English, additional European languages useful

  • Fluent spoken and written Swedish is mandatory
