The Systems department within Product Development Unit Baseband and Interconnect actively work with strategy, systemization, release and innovation, in many cases in co-operation with other Product Development Units within Ericsson. The System department is located in Sweden (Kista and Lindholmen) and Poland (Lodz and Krakow).
We can offer an exciting work with a great degree of freedom but also with great responsibilities, in a wide range of areas. We are now looking for a System Designer to be part of our teams working in early phases and who can support design in later phases. You will work on system level (system management) in studies and projects and are the technically responsible in the development of Ericsson Radio System (ERS) current and future HW products. You will also be part in identifying technical requirements on the system based on the business needs and opportunity often in cooperation with product management and come up with system solution to meet the technical requirement.
We are looking for a talented HW system developer. You preferably have some years’ experience from working with HW and or system development. You will work as system developer in projects developing Radio Base Stations/Ericsson Radio System HW products during early studies, execution and release.
You will be part of development of solutions for Ericsson 5G site integration, which means products in mechanics and power area. You will have focus on the system solution and be part of identifying technical requirements and secure the system solution to meet the requirements.
You will also be expected to perform technical investigations together with personnel from the different system teams. Continuous improvement, innovation and knowledge sharing are part of the daily work.
- Good understanding of software and hardware architecture
- Experience of telecommunication system management or system integration
- Developed competence in requirement handling and breaking down of requirements
- Solid experience of HW system design
- Strong technical interest
- Attitude of can-do, can-help, want-to-try
- Innovating, adapting and responding to change
- Good leadership skills
- Good at identifying improvements and driving change
- A bachelor degree or above in telecommunication, computer science or equivalent
- Fluent English skills for effective oral and written communication
