Job Summary

To develop storage sales opportunities and maintain customer relationships within a defined account base, to meet and exceed the agreed sales targets through the sale of Oracle storage solutions.

Job Description

Key Result Area 1 - Sales Revenue

 Identify and win new storage business solutions in a defined set of clients in the defined segments

 Develop storage opportunities, tender documents, sales proposals and customer presentations.

 Develop a call plan that provides complete account coverage of your territory.

 In conjunction with the Storage Solution Architects develop appropriate solutions concepts, maintain up-to-date competitive information and compile success stories.

 Work with the Oracle approved channel partners where appropriate to define, recommend and drive sales.

Key Result Area 2 - Territory Management

 Manage your accounts to ensure Oracle actively participates in all potential sales opportunities either directly or in concert with a partner.

 Prepare and implement measurable Account Plans utilising multi-level sales strategies for TOP accounts. These plans will also include how we can work with our partners to provide a business solution with a high level of customer satisfaction.

 Monitor, report and counter competitor sales strategies.

 Ensure proper and timely reporting in Oracle Sales tolos ie. Forecasting and opportunity management

 Ensure your own personal development is proactive and discuss your needs with your Manager.

Key Result Area 3 - Client Relations

 Build and strengthen your business relationship with customers on both C- and operational levels.

 Provide, or facilitate training opportunities for your accounts.

 Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction within your territory.

 Understand the overall Oracle go-to-market value propostion

 Leverage the greater Oracle x-LOB team – orchestrate the team to succes.

Experience / Qualifications / Essential Skills / Knowledge

 More than 10 years of succesfull Solution selling in the IT industry towards Storage segment is preferred.

 Knowledge and insight in business processes and drivers for the Oracle Database/SW environments

 More than 8 years of relevant experience with highly complex products.

 Commercial or technical academic degree (Master level or equivalent).

 Successful sales track record in storage and understanding of the drivers of the Storage purchase.

 Proven capability to develop lasting relationships with customers, with effective problem solving skill and ability to present innovative solutions to customer needs.

 Self driven with a limited management supervision needed, must operates independently and within the company processes and tools.

 Relate to people from a range of social, cultural and ethnic backgrounds and physical and mental abilities.

 Excellent communications and negotiation skills to close sales deals.

 Excellent organisational and planning ability, setting and managing priorities.

 Aptitude for understanding how technology products and solutions solve business problems.

 Ability to convey information clearly and provide analysis as needed to help customer make buying decisions.

 Ability to conduct needs and cost benefit analysis, forecasting and complete tender requests and sales reports.

 Provide sales leadership and support to Storage & Data Management area in support of the identification,evaluation, development, AND closing of strategic and tactical business opportunities

 Responsible for the practice-specific design and oversight of complex business initiatives in customer consulting engagements. Defines requirements and recommend solutions. Works closely with the Account Management Team.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

This position is responsible for new account development and/or expanding existing accounts within an established geographic territory.

Works as part of an account team to identify, qualify and deliver Hardware products/ solutions. Responsible for the account plan to drive goal attainment in assigned territory. Coordinates with the other members of the sales team (employees and partners) to support account sales and business development strategies. Helps identify and engage the appropriate partner to meet customer specifications. Becomes trusted advisor to key customer influencers and decision makers. Drives company's strategy into assigned accounts. Follows all companies' methodologies and processes related to sales opportunity pursuit. Ensures that the company's sales programs are known and executed in assigned territory, including personal follow-up and engagement in selected opportunities. Achieves or exceeds the quarterly and annual sales goals. May travel frequently.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8 years relevant work experience. BS/BA preferred.
