Position Title Senior Environmental Manager
Sweden - Stockholm County
AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Team Manager / Business Unit Manager, for immediate employment at Stockholm office, Sweden.
In close coordination with the regional leadership, and environmental practice leaders across Continental Europe, develop and maintain a team of highly skilled environmental professionals to win and deliver the projects in Nordic area. This is a senior leadership opportunity for the right person with an entrepreneurial spirit and great people management skills.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
Work with Environment End Market MD, Environmental Operations Director, and regional transportation and environmental staff on development of organizational and sales strategies for environmental services.
Manage and develop the team
Supervise and direct projects within own scope, including quality and financial review.
Assist in developing marketing and client capture strategies and plans
Establish relationships with both external and internal clients and customers
Identify upcoming environment pursuits in the Nordic market
Assist in positioning AECOM for pursuits that best fit our skillset and develop regional staff for successful delivery of pursuits
Assist with the proposal development process including Statement of Qualifications, Technical Proposals and Presentations
Attend conferences and workshops to strengthen existing client relationships and establish new relationships; obtain an understanding of emerging technologies and market drivers
Maintain a high local and regional profile, while being available to assist with pursuits and projects across the country
Bachelor's Degree in
8+ years of experience in project management, staff and organizational development, client service management, or business development activities for large scale environmental clients and/or projects
Demonstrated expertise in at least one of the following areas:
managing and preparing transit and transportation environmental impact assessments, with emphasis on transit projects;
managing contaminated land related projects;
managing environmental due diligence, compliance audit and environmental permitting projects
Proven track record with large (international) client account management, project pursuit execution, and engineering/planning staff development
Experience in client prepositioning activities, proposal development, and execution of selection interviews
Team-oriented individual that can work with operations, project and marketing staff
Fluency in English and Swedish language is essential, both speaking and writing.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Valid Driver’s License required
12+ years of experience in project management, staff and organizational development, client service management, or business development activities for environmental clients and/or projects
Track record of increasing market share and staff effectiveness in environment sector
Recognized business development/client management leader
Recognized leader in developing staff and nurturing relationships with key clients
Recognized leader in professional organizations
