IDC IDC Nordic Account Manager for events in Stockholm, Sweden

The position is the IDC Nordic Account Manager for events and go-to-market solutions. The role is positioned within the IDC Nordic sales organization and will report directly to the Nordic Sales Director. The role is focused on expanding current events business with existing clients as well as new business development with prospects we currently don’t do business with. The position can be based in the Stockholm, Sweden office.

The role requires a proven success with selling a wide portfolio of marketing services – particularly events.

  • Increase market penetration through expansion of current event products, and identify new business opportunities

  • Solid foundation in account management fundamentals such as prospecting, needs assessment, proposal development, client presentation

  • Establishestrong and extensive contracts with leading regional ICT vendors

  • Work with existing customers to support marketing campaigns where IDC are providing content, to monitor the success and provide advice and guidance to extend the engagement.

  • Maintain and update value propositions, proposal templates and support case study development for the Nordic Events and Go to Market portfolio

  • Proactively develop and qualify opportunities to drive new business opportunities

  • Meet the budgeted bookings quotas set

  • Proven track-record in solution-selling and proven consultative sales approach ideally in the events, media or consulting services markets.

  • Capability to frame integrated marketing solutions to senior level clients/prospects – including conversant with the “language” of senior marketing professionals

  • Skills in formulating compelling proposals, effective closing and ability to defend prices

  • Collaborative team player with capability to lead from the front, taking initiative

  • Good time management and project management skills

  • Proven skills in after sales and relationship managments

  • Creative in their approach to proposal writing and sales tools used i.e .ppt presentations

  • High proficiency in spoken and written English, additional European languages useful
