The Radio System Management Analytics section within Product Development Unit (PDU) 4G & 5G is responsible for driving the Radio Network (NW) analytics strategies and the analytics operation at PDU 4G & 5G Radio Access Network (RAN). The responsibility and focus is on identifying, developing, applying and automate analytics and Machine Learning methods targeting trouble shooting, understand product behavior in field, support product development and to evolve and integrate these technologies into tools and the 4G and 5G products, and to spread analytics competence within the PDU. The RSM Analytics section is also responsible for the Smartphone Lab activity for which we are now looking for an application traffic and cellular technology analyst to join the core analysis team.
Smartphone lab support Ericsson business by providing industry unique and customer relevant insights. Our insights differentiate in customer relations and influence Ericsson solutions, in understanding how our network performance impact user experience. We analyze this for current and future applications, for all access technologies, but with focus on 4G/5G. We gain these insights by analyzing data from the world’s most heavily loaded networks, through own lab tests and licensed data. We seek facts using data driven insights!
Smartphone lab work as an independent program, competence center, that support development and other programs where we make a difference. We also cooperate with external companies in the ecosystem of devices and applications on how to optimize user experience. We use agile methods, with frequent feedback from our stakeholders.
We are looking for a person who is passionate about analyzing data with proven domain knowledge in application traffic and cellular technology. Good knowledge of application technologies is important to define meaningful and realistic test cases leading to relevant data. As a member of Smartphone lab you will be working in an interdisciplinary team that focuses on all aspects of data, from defining tests, gathering, storing, analyzing and visualizing.
Have a MSc or PhD
Proven leadership and drive
Have excellent programming skills
Have excellent domain knowledge in Application behavior, protocols and IP/TCP/QUIC
Have excellent understanding about performance in cellular systems
In addition, we value if you have worked with any of the following:
Knowledge in machine learning and data mining
Analysis platforms and tools such as Python, R, Spark and Hadoop
