Responsible for promoting Cepheid’s infectious disease franchise products in direct cooperation with the local distributors selling into laboratories, hospitals, physicians and other customers within the territory to achieve the sales targets through collaboration with our distributor.

These products include over 20 Cepheid tests in the following diagnostic areas: Hospital Acquired Infection, Critical Infection, Virology & Women’s/Sexual Health.

This is an excellent opportunity for a top sales professional who works well in a team-selling environment to further develop with the Distributor the business while being part of the rapidly growing Cepheid community.

Accountabilities

  • Work closely with the distributors to understand and analyse the market per product, build business plans, prioritise (also based on Cepheid’s global priorities) and help to create local strategies.

  • Closely support the distributor in driving a complex, highly technical, multi-departmental or decentralised located sale.

  • Responsible for growing exponentially the Infectious Disease (ID) business within the Nordic countries

  • Communicate and work effectively with hospital administration, executive staff, and physicians to understand and in full cooperation with our distributors, develop needs, gain consensus and assist in closing new business as required and within the accounts both in and outside the regular diagnostic locations.

  • Identify and work on selected projects with high growth potential in the short and mid-term

  • Observe & report market trends, including Voice of Customers, that are important for the business

  • Responsible for communications between the distributors, customer and Cepheid team to ensure product implementations run smoothly.

  • Implement plans to further develop distributor´s key capabilities

  • Monitor plan and activities on a monthly and quarterly basis through score cards

  • Cooperate in local & international trade shows and user-group meetings as needed

  • Manage sales funnel & customer data in Cepheid´s CRM

Experience, qualifications, skills required:

  • Extensive and sustained track record of success in the healthcare segment

  • At minimum Bachelor’s degree with experience in the diagnostics or medical device sector

  • Good knowledge of laboratory-, clinic- & alternative site diagnostics in the Nordic countries

  • Knowledgeable in infection medicine and hospital management structure

  • Capability to work in close cooperation with distributors

  • Excellent professional selling and project management skills

  • Good understanding of the flow of funding in the regional healthcare systems

  • Strong track record in meeting targets and deadlines

Other Requirements:

  • Must be fluent in English and a Scandinavian language (Finnish would be an advantage)

  • Willingness to travel frequently with overnight stays
