Job Description / Information

The Team

Stryker Scandinavia Tender Group works cross-functionally to realize Stryker Scandinavia's commercial and corporate goals. Specifically, the team is responsible for a portfolio of activities that include tenders, quotes, sales contracts and support deriving from needs associated to tenders and quotes from an administrative point of view. This group is comprised of individuals with diverse expertise but a common passion to drive Stryker’s agenda inside and outside of the organization.

The Job

The Tender Manager belongs to the sales team in Scandinavia. The Manager is specialised in tender activities, and have close related activities with sales and marketing in Scandinavia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be aware of Stryker’s policies,standards and activities relating to compliance programs, 1.e. Policy #1 – Code of Conduct, Policy #8 – Compliance Program, Policy #12 Improper Payments and Policy #10 – Ethics Hotline.

  • Project leading of tenders, the process, creation of bidding documents in line with the legal, regulatory and compliance rules.

  • Develop the Tender group and processes.

  • Lead and drive each tender

  • Build business intelligence from the tenders and activities/strategies by competition in order to be more successful and importantly maximize our tenders and prices.

  • Develop and drive relations with key tender KOL´s and Medtech organizations together with the sales organization.

  • Convert tenders to sales contracts, set up the prices in ERP system, inform all parties involved

  • Issue quotes in line with the legal, regulatory and compliance

  • Convert quotes to sales contracts if applicable, set up the prices in ERP system, inform all parties involved

  • Creation of Sales Contracts with single customers or Corporate Accounts including agreements on exclusivity, volume, special prices, discounts, rebates.

  • Internal and external reports related to based on sales contracts to support sound and fair business decisions

  • Track and monitor the Tender & quotes process

  • Issue monthly status reports of tenders and quotes activities to Sales and Marketing

  • Monitoring of Sales contracts

  • Management of Stryker Annual Price master files and production of Stryker Price list per country - until transferred centrally

Minimum Qualifications

Education

Candidate or Bachelor level in economy/procurement.

Experience

3+ years of related work experience in Tender Management/ Finance/ Key Accounts / Business Services.

Experience working in a multi-international business environment preferred.

Experience working with Purchase Department - or working as Purchaser/Key Account Manager or Sales Manager.

Experience in Microsoft Office, Superuser in Word and Excel.

  • Flexible relationship to workload and different tasks

  • Ability to work accurate also under time pressure.

  • Analytical and problem solving skills combined with a pragmatic, “real world” approach in finding solutions.

  • Understanding, Interpersonal skills with the ability to work across functions.

  • Need to speak and write Swedish, Norweigian/Danish and English.

  • The Tender Manager should be able to build up a “Golden Standard Tender Group” and make Stryker Tenders perceived as the “Rolls Royce” in tenders.

  • Should understand the legal and compliance part related to public tenders.

  • Interested in lobbying within the political arena (Medtech industry, Purchase Departments)
