Purpose of the job
We are now recruiting a Financial Analyst to join an exciting international finance team within Volvo Financial Services (VFS). The Analyst will work alongside colleagues around Europe and the Globe in an engaging and ever evolving environment full of opportunities for professional development.
The Accounting and Compliance department is a core function within the VFS Region EMEA Finance department, alongside the Business Control and Capital Strategies departments. The Accounting team, composed of one Manager and one Financial Analyst, is responsible for managing, analysing, and controlling the overall accounting and compliance activities across thirty markets in the region. These activities include adherence to IFRS, Volvo Group reporting standards, tax compliance and internal controls.
This role is a critical position in finance with a mix between projects and recurring routines; as such, the candidate should be flexible, adaptive and keen to take on the challenges in a dynamic and changing environment.
Enhance the region’s accounting and control environment with guidelines, tools, analysis, training, and support
Analyze the region’s monthly result and control reporting quality
Provide technical support to the markets during month-end close
Coordinate the closure of the region’s internal control deficiencies
Maintain the region’s allocation model for transfer pricing
Provide Excel templates and tools to the markets to support lean processes
Perform light bookkeeping tasks
Ad hoc projects and support

Education & Professional Experience
University degree in Accounting (or similar)
Two to three years of relevant working experience within finance, accounting, tax, or auditing
Skilled in Excel and PowerPoint
Fluent in written and spoken English
Accounting certification or audit background (preferred)
Knowledge with Hyperion and SAP/BCS financial systems (preferred)
