Volvo Group Business Process Developer in Göteborg, Sweden

As a Business Process Developer within Process & Solutions at Volvo Trucks, you will be a change agent working closely with the global process owners and managers with the task to improve efficiency and effectiveness of Volvo Trucks operations in the Market and Sell domain.

You will on a daily basis interact with Process Owners and Process Managers who are senior executives in the company as well as other key individuals in the organization representing business improvement opportunities in the sales areas and markets.

Key responsibilities:

  • Drive business improvement initiatives e.g. pre-studies, projects, ad hoc analysis

  • Support the alignment of the processes with business strategies and definition of process development & improvement plan and priorities leading toward a defined wanted position

  • Contribute to prioritization and development of solutions used in the process, by defining the business needs in domain/usage in question

  • Analyze, compile and prioritize process and solution change requests from the local sites and organizational units towards the process & IT working groups and forum

Wanted profile

As a Business Process Developer you need to have the ability to work efficiently and trustfully in your daily work. You have proven experience as change agent (e.g. change manager, management consultant, business process developer or similar).

You will need to actively cooperate with various stakeholders and navigate with ease in a multi-cultural environment. It is important you have an innovative and creative mind-set in order to inspire and challenge the people you interact with. You also have a strong quality focus and strive to get things done.

Required competencies

You are a person skilled in driving change, have good understanding of process management and lean principles and have a strong personal drive. Experience from similar business positions in an international setting is an advantage.

  • Deep understanding in Process Management including Standard Process Architecture and Methodology Framework

  • Deep understanding in Change Management

  • Deep understanding in Lean Management principles

  • Excellent coaching skills and ability to drive workshops

  • Good understanding of interpersonal relationships and organizational behaviour

  • Good communication and pedagogical skills

  • Teamwork oriented

  • Analytical and business oriented

  • Relevant Degree (e.g. Business, Quality management, IT)

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and 14001 standards

  • Excellent language skills in English, both written and spoken

  • Experience from Heavy Duty Commercial or Automotive industry is merit


  • Domain competence and business knowledge and needs /requirements as a subject matter expert in process development and improvement activities in the Market and Sell domain

  • Hold a university degree within business management, change management, analysis or other relevant areas

  • Good understanding of the automotive industry and business challenges

  • Good English written and verbal skills

  • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical capabilities
