We announce that Operator Environment (OE) at Volvo Construction Equipment in Eskilstuna now is recruiting a Chief Project Manager & Program Manager to our team. OE has a challenging and inspiring Project program to manage the upcoming years with a New Cab generation for the Hauler and Loader range (including HMI, Ergonomics etc) as a top priority. An exciting journey is ahead of us and we want you to be a part of it.

Main Tasks

  • Manage New Product Development (NPD) projects within OE according to Global Development Process (GDP) with given scope and within given time and budget.

  • Identify and pro-actively manage relevant commercial, industrial, technical and organizational issues in the project.

  • Manage the Project Team and take decisions according to project authorities, for securing project targets.

  • Report project status and alert relevant issues/deviations to Steering Committee.

  • Secure a good communication external and internal within the project and with all stakeholders.

  • Manage OE Program portfolio (plans, budgets and QDCF objectives) and represent OE in Program planning forums together with the OE Director and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Execute strategic projects and program plans from Feasibility to End Gate acc to GDP meeting established project targets.

  • Establish, maintain and be responsible for budget process within project and program.

  • Secure target fulfillment in right time and at right cost.

  • Establish main time schedule, supervise and secure the project work.

  • Co-ordinate internal (OE) and external (example: E&E, CSS) deliveries which are related to OE responsibility.

  • Inform, communicate, and cooperate with functional management for Technology, Marketing, P&SM, Operations and Aftermarket.

Experience and qualifications required

  • Experience from project management within extensive projects.

  • Strong leadership skills.

  • Business driven mindset and holistic approach. Ability to identify and deliver solutions securing profitability from an overall enterprise perspective.

  • Good knowledge about GDP and Product development process.

  • Good communication skills and ability in spoken and written English.

  • Good cross functional coordination capability.

  • Be able to work in a structured way, manage and follow up project activities.
